Sonic Generations for Nintendo 3DS

Picked this up yesterday at BestBuy. I heard a little about it but I've always been a big fan of Sonic growing up. I was really just interested in seeing the classic sonic levels remastered in 3D. Let me tell you I'm BLOWN AWAY! The graphics are stunning especially in the bonus areas of each act. This YouTube video doesn't do the 3D justice but you can take my word for it. If you are a Sonic fanboy or fangirl you will love this game as much as my wife and I have.

Some of you might have noticed that I haven't been posting as often. It's because this AWESOME GAME has been keeping me a little preoccupied. This game combines a little of Portal & Megaman style game play. It's available only for the Nintendo 3DS and through the sShop for only $5.

Whenever I get my hands on anything electronic I can't leave well enough alone. I'm always looking for mods. Growing up I used to use LiteStep to mod my Windows 98 shell, which at the time if you screwed up you had to reinstall winders.

For my birthday yesterday my wife surprised me with a Nintendo 3DS (Limited 25th Zelda Anniversary Edition ;-)

I love retro NES games and for my DS I have the GBA ports for the classic Zelda game and Super Mario Brothers 3. Since the 3DS doesn't read GBA cards I had hopped that the Nintendo eShop would offer those games. No dice... well Nintendo you can place nice and sell me the game, otherwise I will take matters into my own hands.

If you Google how to root your N3DS you will run into a plethora of links which end up forcing you to enter your personal information into some pretty shady sites. I'm not fool enough to do that so I went for a more hassle free solution. R4i sells a card that will let you load roms onto it to play.  

I like to support Nintendo and although I can use this to pirate 3DS games I don't encourage, support or condone such behavior!

I will buy games that are available for purchase but if they are not for sale anywhere in the world it's fair game.
